Calling for discussions about morality, virtue and the defence of principles s often considered madness. Some may see it as naive or foolish. This perception stems from the sheer amount of hypocracy, deception and lying that characterises political life more than othe fields. However, all the ugliness we mention cannot be classified as belonging to politics alone. In reality it exists in all areas of life without exception – though perhaps to a lesser degree – or in more concealed forms – since fewer eyes and tongues are directed at them.
It is certain that all Divine religions agree on prohibiting murder, sexual exploitation, adultery, lying, theft and all destructive acts that harm human beings. Even other living creatures should not be exploited outside a moral framework that allows us to benefit from them responsibly and ethically. Here lies the disruption caused by the disgraceful Epstein files, stripped of every value that unites humanity without exception. The shocking moral collapse into which Epstein and his alleged associates fell forces us to reflect deeply on how we can protect our values amid such terrifying moral decline – a decline that is unacceptable both ethically and legally.
What we have witnessed – this distortion of human nature – has compelled us to reconsider many positions we once thought were self-evident among rational people. Politicians and among anyone who posses a thinking mind – and a Heart that Truly sees. I speak of seeing with the Heart – not merely with the eyes. Here lies the line between Humanity and animality that we observed – and that those morally distorted individuals on that infamous island allegedly lived out.
Decision makers, analysts, critics and thinkers must carefully consider must carefully consider how to address the aftermath of the Epstein Island scandal. The intersection of sex, prostitution, money, politics and intellectual elites must be taken seriously and discussed independently of the Global Decision Makers who have long lectured us about morality, humanity and democracy – only for us to discover that their Savagery Surpasses Imagination and their reality contradicts the Virtue they proclaim online. On that cursed Island, Arab and Westerner were equal, united by indulgence in Unrestrained and Unbounded desires.
I firmly believe that restoring morality and virtue to our complex international political reality must proceed through Logical Stages. It begins with the stage of shock that we are currently experiencing, followed by the stage of deconstructing this miserable reality. Then comes the stage of confrontation – through exposure and holding the architects accountable. Finally, there must be a Stage of Safeguarding our Societies and minds from falling into the fields of Instinctive Savagery that have stained our Human Nature and dignity.
